Special Events & Traditions
Civil Rights Trip to Southern U.S.
To culminate their learning about the Civil Rights movement, the eighth grade class takes a week-long excursion to visit historical locations in the South. Along the way, they talk to those who lived through this unique period of American history and reflect on the experiences and events of the era. When they return to Graland, students express their understanding through a meaningful art assignment.
Fun with Faculty
Eighth graders take on their teachers in a friendly competition to mark the end of their years at Graland. The score matters less than the laughs and school spirit on display!
