  • Grade 2: Ironman vs. Captain America

    Second graders in Cindy Cheadle’s class got a special visit from Mr. John Britz, a political consultant, who shared the history and importance of the presidential election process. Students then formed two parties, Ironman and Captain America. They heard speeches from the candidates, held rallies and finally cast their votes in a mock election designed to help them understand the significance of November 8, election day. (P.S.     At a Lower School assembly this week, students were introduced to a new club for Grades 3/4. Spark Change is a service learning and leadership program that offers students the chance to give back and make a difference in the community. Members of the club will lead the Lower School in collecting coins for a specific cause to be determined by students.
