Grade 3: A Visit from Project Worthmore

As part of their studies on immigration, students in Grade 3 got a special visit from Project Worthmore this month.
During their time together, students learned that Project Worthmore is a local nonprofit organization that “provides programs that foster community, self-sufficiency and increase quality of life among Denver-area refugees.” Third graders also got to hear the immigration stories of Babacar and Malik who came to Colorado from Senegal. In the coming weeks, students are looking forward to writing a grant proposal to Graland’s administration that will ask for money to build care packages for Project Worthmore to distribute. Keep up the great work, third graders!
