Supporting Our Community During Jewish High Holidays
As part of our commitment to an inclusive learning environment, please be mindful of students and educators who are observing the upcoming Jewish High Holidays: Rosh Hashanah (September 11–13) and Yom Kippur (September 20–21).
A Few Reminders:
- Please do not assign homework or schedule assessments, including studying for them, during these holidays and designated no-homework nights.
- Please be mindful of individual accommodations for students and educators.
- Educators seeking accommodations should connect with their supervisor or division head in advance.
GOOD TO KNOW: Paid time off is available for educators observing major religious holidays, including Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Diwali, and Good Friday. See the Employee Handbook (page 35) for details.
