Graland Gallop

About the 2023 Graland Gallop

Race Date: Sunday, September 24, 2023
Location: Washington Park (Enter Park at S. Franklin and Mississippi)
 
Hosted by the Graland Parent Association (GPA), the annual Graland Gallop is a 5K Run/Walk/Wheelchair and 1K Fun Run/Walk/Wheelchair that celebrates the new school year while providing fun for the whole family and entire school community. 

This event focuses on being active, getting outside, having a good time and building a sense of community - ALL are welcome!
 
All participants will receive a Gallop T-shirt and bib and students will also receive a participation medal. Note that medals will not be provided if registering as "stay in the nest".

Don't forget, a Popsicle Party is awarded to the grade with the most Gallop registrants!

Registration Fee (Per Person):
Early Bird (Through Sept. 15): $15
Regular (Sept. 18-22): $25 
Day Of: $30
Stay in the Nest (Unable to make the event, but want to receive a shirt and support the Gallop): $15
*Online registration closes Tuesday, September 19 at 4 p.m.

Race Day Timeline:
8:00 a.m.             Registration & Family Fun Zone Open
9:00 a.m.             1K Fun Run/Walk Start
9:30 a.m.             5K Start
 
Race Day Reminders:
  • Water will be available on-site, but please bring a water bottle for each participant.
  • Students will receive participation medals at packet pick-up, along with their T-shirts.
  • Awards will be announced via email after the race and award medals will be given out in class the following week.

  • Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Finishers (Male, Female & Non-Binary)
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Finisher Per Grade (Male, Female & Non-Binary) (Preschool through 8)
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Finishers By Age Category (Male, Female & Non-Binary):
    • 14-29
    • 30-44
    • 45-59
    • 60+
