☐ Tour/Open House (optional)
Visit our campus in person to see why students go further at Graland! Tours and Open Houses begin in September and continue through January. From February to August, tours are given by appointment. If you’re interested, please contact us
to schedule yours.
☐ Student Assessment
Applicants to grade 1 are required to take the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI IV), the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC IV or WISC V) or the Differential Abilities Scales (DAS II). These are cognitive assessments conducted by an independent, licensed psychologist. You may choose your own qualified test administrator or refer to the list of professionals (see Forms section), who operate independently from the school and have agreed to participate in admission testing for Graland Country Day School.
☐ Send Student Records and Teacher Recommendations
A copy of the student’s transcript is due from his or her current school, along with a confidential teacher recommendation from his or her teacher. (Note: Please find the forms on this page, on the left side under Forms.)
☐ Student Visit and Parent Interview
We ask all applicants and their parents to participate in a campus visit. Applicants to grade 1 participate in an activity-filled, one-hour classroom visit.
Parents will meet with an admission professional to learn more about Graland. This is also a time for us to learn about your child’s individual characteristics and your aspirations for his or her education.
Student visits can be scheduled after you’ve submitted the student’s online application.

Please complete all application process steps and submit all application materials by February 1, 2019.
