Sibling Applications
For current Graland families applying for another child to attend the school in 2019-20, please be advised that applications for preschool through Grade 8 will be due by November 15 in order to receive the sibling preference in the admission process. For more information, please call or email the Admission office.

Admission Overview - 2019-20 Academic Year

Tour/Open House (optional)
Visit our campus in person to see why students go further at Graland! Tours and Open Houses begin in September and continue through January. From February to August, tours are given by appointment. If you’re interested, please contact us to schedule yours.

Student Assessment                                                                                            Due Date: February 1, 2019
Applicants for Grades K-4 are required to complete a cognitive assessment. Applicants for Grades 5-8 are required to take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE). See Application Process by Grade Level for details.

Teacher Recommendations                                                                                   Due Date: February 1, 2019
Preschool-Grade 4: Applicants submit a confidential teacher recommendation from a current teacher (if applicable). See Application Process by Grade Level for details.

Grades 5-8: Applicants submit confidential teacher recommendations from three sources: an English teacher, math teacher, and a principal, counselor or advisor. See Application Process by Grade Level for details.

Send Records                                                                                                        Due Date: February 1, 2019
Applicants for Grades 1-8 must submit a copy of the student’s transcript from his or her current school. See Application Process by Grade Level for details.

Parent Interview and Student Visit                                                                      Due Date: February 1, 2019
Parents meet with an admission professional to discuss their student(s) and ask questions. Interviews are scheduled once the online application has been submitted. Younger students (Preschool-Grade 2 applicants) join in a fun, short, classroom visit and older students (Grade 3-8 applicants) “shadow” a current student for a full day. Visits are scheduled once the online application has been submitted. See Application Process by Grade Level for details.
 
Student Essay                                                                                                       Due Date: February 1, 2019
Applicants for Grades 5-8 are required to submit an essay. See Application Process by Grade Level for details.

In accordance with Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS) admission notification guidelines, Graland will notify families about admission decisions by email and/or phone, and by regular mail.
Rolling Admission
Once the regular admission deadline has passed, Graland accepts applications year-round and will work with families to complete the admission process as quickly as possible, based on space availability.

Mid-Year Admission
Graland occasionally has mid-year openings for new students during the current academic year. Please contact the Admission Office about space availability.
