Responsive Classroom and Advisory
Mornings are a special time to make connections that start the day off right. Students begin each day with a greeting and sharing activity, which allows them to practice self-management, communication, empathy and respectful conflict resolution. Among peers, students find a safe place to be silly, serious, curious or vulnerable.
Because relationships give meaning to our lives, advisory (Middle School) and Responsive Classroom meetings (Lower School) provide the foundation on which students continue to build social behaviors and strong relationships with peers and adults. The morning curriculum is intentional, and our goal is for students to live joyful lives filled with compassion, kindness, gratitude and resilience.
