Impacting Students
I feel that EVERY lesson I teach has some sort of impact on my students. Some are impacted by their physical skill growth, but, and this is my ultimate goal, most are impacted by learning important life lessons. Character development is at the heart of everything I teach. Whether on the climbing wall, where many students take a risk and go outside of their comfort zone to overcome a fear of heights, or participating in a competitive game, my students are constantly working on what it means to work together, play by the rules, advocate for themselves, and be kind and  respectful towards everyone. Winning with grace and being proud of our efforts in defeat are taught daily. My hope is that each student is impacted by learning these life skills.

Lifelong Learner
The ACIS Boundaries workshop was impactful. I always strive to keep my students safe, not only physically, but emotionally, and this workshop really made me stop and think. From locker room and bathroom issues to traveling on a bus to athletic events, I am not only extra sensitive about keeping my students safe, but that I very mindful about not putting myself in a bad place, either physically or verbally.

Favorite Teaching Moment
Any time one of my students shows outstanding sportsmanship, or learns a new physical skill. I love the excitement children get with this!

Life Goals
I have visited all 50 states, and traveling to all the provinces in Canada is on my bucket list.
