Impacting Students
I like to sit down one-on-one with students and tell them about their learning profile and how their brain works: strengths/weaknesses and how they can compensate for their weaknesses.  They always leave proud and with a deeper understanding and respect for themselves as learners.

Lifelong Learner
My most favorite professional development was on executive dysfunction. The training covered executive functioning and the brain areas involved. It spoke about assessing ADD, treatment options with research to back these treatment options.

Professional Passion
Watching a student succeed at something they have struggled with in the past.

When not in the classroom I can be found...
Writing support plans, emailing or calling parents, collaborating with co-workers about ways to conquer a problem.

Life Goal
Take my mentally handicapped sister on a trip somewhere - just the two of us.
