Grade 1: A Unit on Family in Spanish Class
Recently, Grade 1 students have been completing activities related to "la familia" in Spanish class. The unit began with first graders learning "The Familia Song," which included sign language to describe various family members. The lessons continued with decorating a puppet family and building "casas" out of popsicle sticks. In addition, first graders dressed up in full costume as a family member of choice (family pets included!) to take hilarious family photos that were later displayed for each class to see.
