Grade 4: A Visit to the Denver Art Museum

This month, as part of their study on Indigenous people, fourth graders visited the Denver Art Museum to see the Indigenous Arts of North America Gallery. Upon their arrival, students were greeted by a docent, who guided them through the exhibit of over 18,000 pieces of Indigenous art, including masks, garments, sculptures, photographs, paintings, and more. After spending several weeks in their classes studying artifacts, it was a full circle moment for the students to see the items they had been learning about up close. Take a look at the photos from their visit.
