Grade 5: The Road to Calculating a Dream Trip

This March, Grade 5 students in Mrs. Dodge’s math class worked to answer the question: “Why do tenths, hundredths, and thousandths matter?
To do this, students got to plan a dream road trip and calculate their mileage, gas usage, and travel costs. At the end of the month, the fifth graders presented their projects through a gallery walk! Check out the photo of the students’ perfectly calculated getaways.
