Josh’s Book Club

Josh's Book Club: "Searching for Bobby Fischer"

Tuesday, Apr. 28, 2020 / 6-7 PM / Hunt Family Learning Commons
The April Book Club will focus predominantly on the Paramount film that dramatizes Fred Waitzkin’s work, so you can prepare by either reading the entire book, reading sections of the book (relevant chapters: 1-5, 13-17, 19 and 22), and/or watching the movie. Waitzkin’s account of parenting his son Josh, a chess prodigy, provides many lessons in how we, as educators and parents, can both impede and foster agency in children.
