Dr. Lisa Damour blends years of experience with the latest research developments to provide sound, practical guidance to children and adolescents as well as their parents, teachers, and advocates.
In this virtual session, Dr. Damour will address how we manage our current parenting challenges - both in terms of everyday concerns as well as difficulties caused by the pandemic. Her presentation will cover a range of topics, including: social anxieties, academic motivation, family friction, screen time, the disruption of key rites of passage, and how to talk with kids of all ages about inclusion and belonging at the individual and societal level.
Dr. Damour is recognized as a thought leader by the American Psychological Association and is a best-selling author, monthly New York Times columnist, and regular contributor to CBS News. She maintains a private practice, is a Senior Advisor to the Schubert Center for Child Studies at Case Western Reserve University, serves as the Executive Director of Laurel School’s Center for Research on Girls, and co-hosts the popular podcast Ask Lisa: The Psychology of Parenting.
