Kristin Ryder

My job
Director of Admission, with Graland since 1999

In a nutshell
Kristin gets to know each prospective family individually as she shares all the amazing things going on at Graland. “I think of my job as a wheel with different spokes: working with prospective families, engaging current families and connecting with school leaders. I’m here to welcome every family who is interested in pursuing a Graland education.”
Career journey
Earned a master’s degree in administration and policy studies from University of Colorado, Denver. Taught in the classroom for 10 years before becoming an administrator at Graland. Worked closely with scheduling, the Gates Invention and Innovation Program and curriculum mapping.

Professional passion
“My passion is for education. My own boys are students here, so now I’ve been a teacher, administrator and parent at Graland, and I can honestly say what motivates me is seeing what Graland can do for students.”

Personal side
As a young adult, Kristin led middle school students on extended backcountry trips through Colorado, Oregon and Washington. She still keeps active outdoors and is an enthusiastic telemark skier.
