Why did you choose Graland? When we relocated to Denver from San Francisco and knew very little about the academic landscape, everyone we trusted, respected and liked told us about Graland! After touring the facilities, meeting the admissions team, and getting to know a few more families, it became the only choice in our minds. Graland not only became our children's school community but quickly became the foundation of our family's social connections in a new city.

What are some of your child(ren)'s interests & extracurricular activities?
Hunter's love for basketball and flag football has massively deepened by the teamwork and support he feels playing on teams with Graland friends and being coached by Graland parents! His efforts in his 5th grade year on Gates Innovation has also been his most extended focus on a project and reveals his stick-to-it-ness. Ava's passion is performance - she has truly thrived in the after-school enrichment of choir, voice lessons, piano, which expands her sense of self.

James and I (and later us four as a family) are many-time transplants from Vancouver Canada, to Boston, to NYC, to San Francisco, and now Denver. While we go along with the mountains and skiing obsessions of CO, our true winter loves are hockey and summers at the lake in the Pacific Northwest. When going on family trips, we enjoy throwing ourselves up, down, and across cliffs via rappelling, climbing, and zip-lining!
