ALUMNI REMEMBER: PART ONE

Philip William Hickey
I do not know the source of this quote, “I want these students to be able to say when they leave me. I am a worthwhile person; I deserve a place on this earth; I am successful; I am ready for what the world throws at me, today or tomorrow.” However, this is the truth behind all the gracious memories our alumni treasure about their years at Graland School.

“. . . If there’s one thing about Graland, it is the totally non-provincial attitude there. Camelot, China, Latin America, the Louvre were as real to me as the Empire State Building.” Larry Kauvar

“. . . The various guilds were fascinating: arts, crafts, marionettes, puppets. . . the celebration of the donkey Buttercup’s birthday . . a fine curriculum, too.” Janet Wierman
