Engaged Families

A Sense of Belonging

When parents choose Graland for their child’s education, the whole family becomes part of our community. We work hard to ensure that Graland is a welcoming place for all, and we want you to feel comfortable building fulfilling connections that can enrich your family’s experience during these foundational years.

Be a Part of your Child's Experience

There are many ways to get involved in your child’s journey at Graland. Starting with back to school night in the fall and continuing through the year with music concerts, sporting events, and grade level activities, we invite you to connect with your child’s school experience.

Join with Others at Community Events

Bringing our community together is a priority. The 5K Graland Gallop, Community Day Dinner, Grandparents and Special Friends Day, and community service events are just a few of the many events you can enjoy with other families at Graland. There's a mix of family and adults-only events.

Model Character Attributes to Build Community

In line with Graland's strategic plan to help our community thrive, the school's character task force has designed a framework that aligns five of the school's guiding principles with five attributes to foster in our students (responsibility, agency, adaptability, empathy, and curiosity). To help children thrive in school and life, educators and parents must work together to cultivate these attributes in students by modeling them intentionally as adults.

Get Support Through Parent Education

We know parenting can be life’s toughest job and we’re here to support you in this role. Graland offers affinity groups and education and wellness talks to help you navigate these years of your child’s growth and development. With the Graland Parent Association, we also bring expert speakers to campus.

Be a Graland Volunteer

Whether you have an open schedule to dedicate more time to Graland, or you can only share an hour or two, all volunteers at any capacity are valued and appreciated! There are numerous volunteer opportunities on campus in the classroom, library, dining hall and more, as well as many leadership opportunities.
