Program

Student Services

Students at Graland benefit from additional programs that enhance their day and their school experience.

Food

Ask Graland students about their favorite lunches at school, and you might hear about the spaghetti and meatballs. Or the BBQ brisket. Or the vegan stir fry. Or the salad station. The truth is, it’s hard to choose one favorite from so many yummy and healthy dishes. Each day, our chef offers a menu full of options that include dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan choices. Our kitchen is also peanut and tree nut-free. And the best part? All lunches, snacks and drinks are included in tuition.

Tech Help Desk

Glitches happen, and our team of experts is always on hand to get iPads and computers back up and running so students can get back to learning. With a service counter in the library, the help desk offers walk up support for any and all tech trouble.

Library

In library classes at Graland, students learn about the school’s six innovation skills: empathy, critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, and perseverance. Additionally, starting in Kindergarten, library classes support grade-level curriculum through project support. Students are taught to find and evaluate credible web sources and use technology resources effectively and responsibly. Open every day before and after school; the Graland Library seeks to help every student become a lifelong reader.

Health and Wellness

The health and well-being of our students is our top concern at Graland. From ensuring employees are trained in CPR and first aid to providing nutritious meals and snacks to meeting students’ social-emotional development, we’re committed to creating a safe environment for learning.

Counselors

It’s OK to need a little extra help sometimes. At Graland, we don’t let students struggle unnecessarily with academics, social life or behavior issues. With the support of division heads, learning specialists, counselors and teachers, our student-centered process is based on the idea that every child can be successful at Graland.

On-Site RNs

Our full-time nurses not only conquer bumps and bruises and apply bandages and ice with ease, they're qualified to monitor ongoing health concerns and support plans. It’s all in a day’s work at our health services office.

Extended Day

Graland offers multiple extended day options to keep kids actively engaged beyond the school day.

Aftercare

Ages 5-12: Students are welcome to enjoy our extended day program with indoor and outdoor activities until 6 p.m. Drop-ins are welcome, too.

After School Enrichment

Ages 5-12: With a variety of activities from cooking to art to science, children can learn a new skill or hobby in the enrichment program. Each class meets once per week and new classes are offered three times each year.

Music Conservatory

Ages 5-14: For students who want to learn an instrument, Graland offers both private and group music lessons, available before and after school.

Bus and Transportation

Getting to school on time is priority one each morning. Maybe you live out of the neighborhood, or have kids going to different schools. We’re here to help students get to school safely and stress-free, so they can start the day ready to settle in and learn. Graland has several morning, after school and after sports bus routes with common stops. To find out more about our services contact Juan Botello.
