Mr. Gonzalez cultivates a culture of belonging and works to make sure everyone at Graland feels welcome and included. He also educates our community (students, faculty, staff and parents) about issues surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Favorite Interaction with Students
Building connections with students outside of the classroom especially on trips.
Most Inspiring Graland Program
I look forward to Community Day because it's a great time to pause and get to know members of our community on a deeper level through storytelling.
Favorite Graland Moment
My favorite moment so far has been leading the Diversity & Equity Cohort for my colleagues because we push each other's thinking and, more importantly, our growth as educators.
Graland Trip I Love
The Bike Hike is a great way to truly experience the joy of Lower School while adding an element of adventure, collaboration, and problem solving.
Professional Passion
Learning and practicing how to build meaningful relationships, especially across lines of difference, is my professional passion. I love learning about vulnerability, storytelling, and building connections.
Lifelong Learner
I listen to many audiobooks and podcasts, and I collaborate with diversity practitioners nationwide. When possible, I attend conferences because there is nothing like collaborating in person.
Why I Work at Graland
I admire the School's commitment to never staying complacent and to always pushing ourselves to grow so that we can best meet the needs of students and our community.
Outside Graland I’m ...
...reading to my daughters and trying new restaurants.
Life Goal
