Why did you choose Graland? Our son will say: "Tinker Time." The adults will say: "We wanted our son to look forward to going to school every day. And so far, Graland has delivered! From the start, Graland felt like an inclusive and welcoming community. We were blown away by their culture of belonging–feeling it even in the admissions process. We're confident our son will thrive while at Graland with their focus on not only intellectual excellence, but strong character, curiosity, creativity and empathy. We were also impressed by how they support their faculty, which makes for exceptional and happy educators."
Grade: Kindergarten
What are some of your child(ren)'s interests & extracurricular activities? My son is at his happiest when building imaginary worlds with LEGOs, Magna-Tiles and found materials. He also loves to zoom around playgrounds with his buds, play tennis, visit the library, play tag with the waves at the beach, and go sailing with his parents. He's looking forward to starting ceramic classes after school this fall. Oh, and he'd be disappointed if I didn't mention that he LOVES Paw Patrol.
Tell us some fun facts about you and/or your family: Our son has a rare genetic syndrome called Treacher Collins so our family quickly learned ASL and a whole lot of medical knowledge, despite mom working in the arts and dad in technology. Chandler and I have been in Denver for over a decade after spending our 20's bopping around from Vermont to Providence to Singapore to Hong Kong to Boston. I grew up in Massachusetts, but pronounce my "R's" and Chandler grew up in Cincinnati.
