Athletics Mission Statement

Athletics at Graland emphasize the importance of teamwork, cooperation, sportsmanship, and respect. Through athletics, students are able to learn the invaluable lessons of self-discipline, dedication, and commitment. All students will be given the opportunity to learn and develop skills while participating in a sport. We believe in healthy competition, where students can develop their skills while also experiencing the joys and disappointments of competition.

Playing Time Philosophy

Our goal is to provide a safe and positive learning experience where everyone is given the opportunity to develop his or her skills and be a contributing member of the team. As students move from sixth to seventh to eighth grade, playing time may vary due to each student’s daily attendance, commitment, effort, attitude, safety concerns and skill development.
