Impacting Students
I've found that the lessons that have the most impact aren't lessons that I have planned but rather ones that come authentically and help kids learn what it is and means to be empathetic, resilient, caring and part of a community.
Lifelong Learner
After an occupational therapy professional development I am now more equipped to help students who may have OT needs. This has changed my practice in the sense that children are given various ways to sit on the rug, different writing materials, some may kneel at a table instead of sit, and others may take movement breaks to strengthen core.

I overhear a student say “this is fun!” about whatever we are learning!
