Luna Gonzalez

Campus Therapy Dog

Did you know that Campus Therapy Dog Luna Gonzalez volunteers at Denver International Airport as part of the Canine Airport Therapy Squad (CATS) program? Ask her whether travelers or Graland students give better belly rubs!

Impacting Students
One of my favorite things to do is spend time with members of the Graland community throughout the school day. Whether I am listening to a student read, visiting a classroom, joining an advisory group, stopping by an office, or simply offering a comforting presence, I love helping people feel calm, connected, and supported.

Lifelong Learner
I am always learning new ways to support people. I regularly practice my therapy dog skills and enjoy meeting new people wherever I go. Every day is an opportunity to learn something new, especially when treats are involved.

Favorite Teaching Moment
I love when a student who seems nervous or unsure comes over to say hello. Sometimes all it takes is a wagging tail, a gentle nuzzle, or a few quiet moments together to help someone feel more comfortable and confident.

Life Goals
To collect as many belly rubs as possible, make new friends wherever I go, and continue spreading paw-sitive vibes throughout the Graland community.
