My favorite lesson to teach my students is about the concept of filling someone's bucket. Pre-K students can easily grasp that how they treat someone can either fill or dip into an imaginary 'bucket’ and affect how that person feels.

I am constantly trying to find ways to honor how children learn best, which is through play, self guided exploration and hands-on experiences. I am passionate about children having experiential learning opportunities, learning in the outdoors, being allowed to take risks and also being allowed to guide their own play, using a variety of different materials in any way they choose.

Why I Love Teaching
I love working with young children because I know what a powerful impact early life experiences has on a person. What children experience in their first five years profoundly affects the rest of their life
