Impacting Students
I like to teach Malk Talk lessons to help kindergartners become more flexible with using numbers and seeing relationships between them. Hearing kids become excited about numbers is so rewarding.

Lifelong Learner
Comprehensive Orton Gillingham training was very powerful and gave me a lot of insight about why to explicitly teach phonic rules and how to do it. Kindergartners need daily phonics instruction to become proficient readers.

Feels Rewarded When ...
Years later I hear from parents or students about what they remember and what impact my teaching has had. That is such a gift.

Professional Passion
Books, books, books. I love reading children's literature as well as reading professional books for my own growth.
