Grade 4: Exploring Spain Through the Five Senses

In Grade 4 Spanish, students have been learning all about Spain, but with a fun twist!
Rather than just learning about Spain’s history, culture, and traditions, students got to experience it for themselves through their five senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. For sight, students looked at a map and photos of Spain and viewed the works of Spanish artists. For sound, students listened to castanets and flamenco music. For smell, students learned about the Spanish spice saffron and churros y chocolate, which they got to taste! And finally, for touch, fourth graders participated in spirited tabletop soccer games between Barcelona and Real Madrid. ¡Que divertido!
