Eighth-Grade Spanish Students Showcase Global Cuisine With Food Truck Project

Eighth-grade students recently completed a food truck project in Spanish class as part of their restaurant unit, exploring the cuisine and culture of Spanish-speaking countries. They practiced language skills like ordering food, making reservations, and identifying utensils, while researching dishes, customs, and traditions from different regions.
Students then created small-scale food trucks with a menu featuring at least three dishes, ingredient lists, and prices in local currency. The project culminated in a final presentation, where they showcased their food trucks and answered questions in Spanish.

Some even brought in samples of their dishes, giving classmates a taste of the diverse cuisines they studied. The project deepened students’ cultural understanding and boosted their confidence in using Spanish in real-world contexts.

¡Felicidades a los estudiantes de octavo grado por su esfuerzo y creatividad! (Congratulations to the eighth-grade students for their hard work and creativity!)
