Grades 7/8: Honor, Effort and Excellence Awards Announced
Several students in Grades 7/8 were recognized this week for academic, effort, and excellence achievements in the first trimester of 2014-15. To get on the honor roll, students must achieve a GPA of 3.7 or above in their core classes. Effort awards are given to those who earned an effort grade of 1 in core classes. Excellence award winners are selected by teachers to celebrate students who exhibit traits like curiosity, passion and critical thinking in math, English, science, history or world language. Many students, not surprisingly, made more than one list. Congratulations, students!
