Grade 7: Fun and Games in Math
Students in Camille James’ math class got to work having fun when they were tasked with creating a game using math concepts. Their assessment was based on how they used rational number operations, their development of rules and instructions, creativity of the game design and overall effort. “It’s hard to make up your own problems,” shared Hanna Drake. “Even kids who might not like math would have fun playing a math board game.”
