1 pound Italian sausage or ground beef
1 teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon basil
1 6-ounce can tomato paste
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
½ cup small curd cottage cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup milk
1 cup Master Baking Mix or any biscuit mix
2 eggs
½ teaspoon salt
pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a skillet brown the beef. Drain off the excess fat. Stir in the oregano, basil, tomato paste, and ½ cup of the mozzarella cheese.

In a greased 10-inch pie pan, layer the cottage cheese and the Parmesan cheese. Spoon the beef mixture over the layers. Combine the remaining ingredients, except the mozzarella cheese, in a blender. Blend for one minute or until smooth. Pour the mixture over the layers in the pie pan.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Sprinkle the top with the remaining cheese.

Cool for five minutes before serving
