Grade 2: Science Lesson at the Denver Botanic Gardens

Second grade scientists focusing on the study of ecology are exploring the question, "Do plants and insects help or harm each other?” To see the important role of pollinators in our ecosystem they visited the Denver Botanic Gardens where they observed busy bees up close. Students looked at different parts of plants and identified what type of pollinator helps the plant reproduce, whether a bee, butterfly, or bird.
