K: A Publishing Party for Expert Authors

This month, Kindergarten students worked hard to publish stories on subjects they consider themselves experts in.
Each book contained a table of contents, four chapters, a dedication, and an “About the Author” page. While working on the project, students used Kindergarten writing proficiencies, such as punctuation, capital and lowercase letters, word spacing, decoding, and formatting. After editing and revising their stories, the Kindergarteners invited several educators to join them on March 22 for a publishing party! During the celebration, students read their chapter books to the educators on subjects that included leprechauns, snakes, dogs, hockey, and more! Congratulations on a job well done, Kindergartners!
