Preventing the Spread of Illness

Please educate yourself and your students about these tips to help prevent the spread of illness:
  1. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer as often as possible, especially after eating, wiping your nose, and going to the bathroom.
  2. If your child has been actively throwing up, had diarrhea, or had a fever the night before a school day, please keep him or her home for 24 hours. That science test can wait, and it is not fair to expose other students unnecessarily.
  3. If you are on antibiotics, please be sure to take them all as instructed. Do not stop taking them just because you feel better.
  4. Do not share food or drinks.
  5. To prevent illness reoccurrence, wash all bed linens after a sickness has resolved.
If you have any questions, please contact school nurse Megan Schmid.
