Kindergartners successfully tested their recycling and composting knowledge with an interactive demonstration from Aaron Murray, science teacher and sustainability coordinator.
Kindergartners successfully tested their recycling and composting knowledge with an interactive demonstration from Aaron Murray, science teacher and sustainability coordinator.

After a short lesson on sorting trash, kindergartners shared in a hands-on exercise. Facing three bins (recycle, compost and trash), they selected different items such as used paper, junk mail and a paper towel then disposed of them in the correct bin, earning a "high five" from Middle School "Green Club" members.

The lesson: Very few items cannot be recycled or composted at Graland.
