Martin Twarogowski

Charles C. Gates Director of Innovative Learning

Mr. Twarogowski, or Mr. T, works to ensure that Graland students have access to and are learning from the best technology available in education. He also helps teachers integrate design thinking principles into their lessons, co-teaches classes and lends himself to chaperoning day and overnight trips. Ask about the time he was a barefoot kicker on a college football team!

Favorite Interaction with Students
I like going on the La Foret trip, which is often the first time students spend the night away from home!

Most Inspiring Graland Program
I work with students in the Gates Program for the whole year and get to witness the evolution of their projects along with the evolution of their learning.

Favorite Graland Moment
Listening to students passionately talk about their inventions during the Gates Expo.

Graland Trip I Love
The sixth grade Southwest Trip is pretty special. Nothing beats shaking the spiders out of your sleeping bag and sleeping on the ground for five nights.

Lifelong Learner
Because my role centers around innovation, I am constantly growing and learning from the people I am collaborating with.

Why I Work at Graland
I get to do what I love.

Outside Graland I’m ...
... camping, playing video games with my kids.

Favorite Childhood Memory
Staying up late on Friday nights to watch "The Six Million Dollar Man" while eating popcorn and apples.
