Lisa Schreiner

Grade 1 Teacher

Mrs. Schreiner’s passion is teaching literacy, and she loves to use picture books in her lessons. The best part of her day is when she sees a look of joy on her students’ faces as they learn to read. Ask about her favorite nature photograph!

Impacting Students
I love to teach children how to read. It is so rewarding to see a student's eyes light up when all of the pieces come together and he/she reads a sentence with fluency.

Lifelong Learner
I had the opportunity to learn more about how to support children who find small motor tasks particularly challenging.

Favorite Teaching Moment
I love Grandparents and Special Friends Day. It is so much fun to see grandparents working and playing with their grandchildren.

Fun Fact
I have been a mentor for 16 teaching interns/residents.
