In Lower School science with Ms. Elise de Geus, Grade 3 students hosted a science fair showcasing experiments tied to their study of the metric system and the scientific method.
As a culminating project, students chose their own investigation topics and collected data using grams, centimeters, and milliliters. Projects explored questions such as which paper towel absorbs the most water, whether liquids with the same volume have the same mass, what type of lollipop dissolves the fastest, and which brand of baking soda creates the largest eruption.
Through the process, students practiced observation, measurement, data collection, and critical thinking while learning how scientists test ideas and analyze results.
