At its January 2015 meeting, Graland Trustees unanimously elected John Gowen as President-Elect of Graland’s Board of Trustees. John will succeed Christopher Hunt, who has served as Board President for the past three years.
At its January 2015 meeting, Graland Trustees unanimously elected John Gowen as President-Elect of Graland’s Board of Trustees. John will succeed Christopher Hunt, who has served as Board President for the past three years.
“The Board President position requires significant time and energy,” says Geoff Lord, chair of the Nominating Committee. “John will continue the school’s tradition of strong board leadership, and we are grateful that he can make this commitment to Graland.” John will be formally elected President as part of the slate of officers and Trustees at the Board’s May meeting; his service will commence July 1, 2015.
In the course of John’s three years of participation on Graland’s Board he has served as First Vice President and chair of the Development committee. John works as a Managing Director for Liberty Global, Inc. In addition, he is former board member of YouthBiz, Inc. John and his wife Susan have three sons who attend Graland.
