Middle School students who competed in the Western Academic Talent Search (WATS) will be honored Saturday for achieving honors (top 25%) and highest honors (top 10%) in the program. This optional enrichment opportunity is offered to middle schoolers who scored at or above the 90th percentile on standardized tests.

WATS participants take the SAT, ACT or EXPLORE examinations to evaluate their strengths, to gain experience, and to qualify for awards and special programming.

Twenty-five Graland students who tested and had their scores compared against other academically talented students in the western region earned honors or highest honors for top placement. At a ceremony held at the Colorado School of Mines, several Graland Eagles will attend to proudly accept the recognition for their academic success from the Center for Bright Kids.

We will honor all 25 who competed at the academic assembly on June 3. Congratulations to all!
