Parents came in to talk about their professional roles and responsibilities and students took a field trip to a local fire station. They also met different people who play a part in making Graland a successful institution.

Finally, students discussed what businesses are important to have in a town and why, such as dentist, airport and florist. They researched different businesses before heading to the Gates Innovation Lab to construct a model town. Nice work, first grade!
