Meet Our Faculty

Jessica Williams

Grade 2 Teacher

A Graland parent as well as teacher, Ms. Williams will tell you that the school community is more like a family to her and her son.

Impacting Students
During my many years at Graland, I have learned that social-emotional wellness is a major factor in academic success. I believe that students need time for mindful breaks and direct instruction on how to manage their overall wellness. This, in turn, allows space for each student to excel in their academic journey.

Lifelong Learner
Cultural competency trainer Rosetta Lee continues to have an impact on me. Her ability to tell it like it is, back it up with research, and use humor to get her message across is inspiring. I continue to reference a presentation of hers about Pump Ups and No Joke Zones. I am able to build off of what she said to show my students how to coexist respectfully and look out for each other.

Feels Rewarded When...
I accomplish something important and make a difference. I love when a reluctant writer proudly comes to me with a huge smile and a completed piece of work.

Outside the Classroom I’m...
Enjoying time with friends and family.
