Kindergarten: Putting Pencil to Paper

Kindergartners in Carly Rothschild’s class are honing in on their writing skills by becoming narrators. 
Kindergartners in Carly Rothschild’s class are honing in on their writing skills by becoming narrators. After several mini-lessons on what it means to be a good writer, kindergartners selected a piece of writing to publish. Like good writers, they went back and edited their stories to apply their learning about how complete sentences are different from a label or one word. After editing is complete, students will publish their pieces complete with colorful illustrations and a cover page. Next week, they will read their stories to their fourth grade buddies.
