Favorite Interaction with Students
I love seeing students learn about my culture and traditions when I help them make tortillas in Señora Viseur's class. My grandma would be proud!

Most Inspiring Graland Program
One of my favorite traditions is the end-of-year educator party. It is a bittersweet event when we say goodbye to some of our most beloved employees, but it also brings the community together to celebrate their accomplishments here at Graland.

Favorite Graland Moment
My favorite Graland moments are when I get to interact with students, for example when I help with the Student of Color Affinity group. I love walking down the halls and having students say “hi” because they have seen me at their activities!

Graland Trip I Love
On the Chief Mountain Hike with third graders, I love hearing their stories and also helping them with their activities throughout the hike.

Lifelong Learner
My professional passion is to keep growing, learning and challenging myself within my role and beyond. I enjoy professional development opportunities and absorbing as much as possible from my mentors at Graland. I have taken a few courses to help me strengthen my knowledge in my current position, from Excel courses to accounting basics. I hope to go back to school in the near future! I have also been learning a lot from my team especially as we implement new programs and software within the department.

Why I Work at Graland
My favorite things about Graland are the community of coworkers, the leadership, and the students. It's dynamic, forward thinking, and welcoming. I couldn't imagine working anywhere else!

Outside Graland I’m...
Spending time with my family, friends, and pets! I also love trying new places to eat and also traveling.

Life Goal
Travel to the Maldives and stay in a hut in the middle of the ocean.

Fun Fact
I was born in Mexico and I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I helped translate the Graland website during my internship with the communications department and I also helped translate a webinar on financial aid for the admission department.
